Creative Composition for Children and Pets
Sunday, April 11th 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Virtual class
Turn ordinary moments into extraordinary images using a variety of composition techniques. You will learn how to create impactful images that will have your friends and family loving your images on social media. You will have images that you will be proud to display throughout your home.
The class is focused on those who just want to be able to create better images around their home. You don’t need a fancy camera and your cell phone or point and shoot will be just fine.

Animal Image Makers Conference
I will be speaking at the Animal Image Makers (AIM) “Bark -a-lounger” in Minneapolis. This is a virtual conference for pet and animal photographers on April 15th – 18th. I will be sharing with you how I create the ultimate playdate for clients in the studio and will be doing a live demonstration. I can’t wait to meet the dog that will be modeling for me. The lineup of speakers is amazing and even though the convention is virtual, you will have plenty of opportunities to interact with the speaker.
Convention kicks of with print competition on Thursday the 15th and the speakers begin on Friday the 16th.

Developing an Educational Program for Professional and Amateur Photographers

Professional Photographers of America Virtual Workshop
Teaching through the continuing education program at the Professional Photographers of America, this class will focus on those who are wanting to speak and teach to earn their Craftsman Degree. We will also cover the differences between preparing a program for professional and amateur photographers. Storytelling Project
May 2nd 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Virtual Class
During this class, you will create a personal photography project that centers around your children, pets or both. Lisa will teach you how to create a simple storyboard, where to look for inspiration, how to plan and prepare for your sessions, how to create a photography schedule and how to present your project.

A Day in the Life of Your Child or Pet

Are you detailed oriented? Then this is the class for you as we focus on the small details in the day of your child or pet. You will learn how to plan your day of photography, details to look for, lighting, angles, composition and the final presentation of your project.

Wanna Treat?

Professional Photographers of Iowa
I will be presenting a full day virtual class for the Professional Photographers of Iowa on one of my most popular marketing campaigns. We will cover developing the marketing and timeline plan, communicating with business partners and sponsors, art products and the session. In the afternoon, you will observe a pet portrait session in the studio. Although this will be a pet program, we will talk about how you can apply these techniques and ideas to any genre.
Registration for the this class will open later this month. This is also a continuing education program and PPA members will receive an educational merit.
